Atlanta continues to load up on the defensive side of the ball via free agent signings with their latest addition. The Falcons have signed outside linebacker Bud Dupree on a one year deal, worth $5 million total.
The NFL’s official Twitter account reported the news, citing Ian Rapoport.
Dupree was a first round pick in 2015, being taken 22nd overall. In his eight-season career, he’s had 266 tackles, 46.5 sacks, 12 pass defenses, one interception, 10 forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and one touchdown.
In the last three years, Dupree has played 33 total games, 11 in each season. The Falcons are signing him after he was cut by the Titans despite signing a five-year deal worth $82.5 million back in March of 2021. He had four sacks and 18 combined tackles last year.
