Ezekiel Elliot and the Dallas Cowboys have finally signed a deal and Elliot will join the team in practice on Monday. Elliot has agreed to a six-year $90 million contract with over $50 million guaranteed according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The deal sets the record for the most money for a running back in NFL history. Dallas appeared confident that they could get a deal done with Elliot, as they only kept two running backs on their final roster before re-signing Elliot.
Elliot, 24, has rushed for 4,048 yards in his three-year career. In his rookie season and last year, Elliot has led the league in rushing yards.
With a lot of their players locked up with contracts, the Cowboys need to focus on Dak Prescott, Byron Jones and Amari Cooper next offseason. They will likely not have contract talks with these players during the season as they try to compete for a Super Bowl.
