Cornerback Eli Apple has reportedly agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals. The exact details of the contract are not public at time of writing.
The NFL’s Mike Garafolo reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.
Apple was drafted with the 10th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. After playing three years in New York, he was traded to the Saints, where he played two seasons. Apple, then, was a member of the Panthers in 2020.
Last year with Carolina, he played in only two games before being placed on injured reserve. He was eventually released by the Panthers. His last full season in New Orleans was unproductive, as he recorded only four defended passes and 58 total tackles.
