Reports stated Thursday morning that Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Kendrick Norton has been involved in a serious car wreck. At this time, Norton’s injuries are not considered life threatening. But, the damage suffered in the accident may result in a sudden halt of his football career.

According to multiple reports, the amputation of Norton’s left arm resulted at the scene of the accident. Along with other serious injuries, the defensive tackle is now at Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Before being selected in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers, Norton played at the University of Miami. While there, Norton racked up 84 combined tackles along with five sacks.
The defensive tackle spent the majority of 2018 on the Panthers’ practice squad. In December of 2018, Norton was moved to the Dolphins practice squad. With training camp approaching , he was set to compete for roster spot on the team.
With such a tragic event happening so abruptly, more information is to come as the story develops.
