Dolphins’ cornerback Xavien Howard was arrested on Sunday night, for domestic battery. The former Pro Bowl corner reportedly pushed his fiancee up against a mirrored wall. After letting her go, she fell on his crutch, causing further injury.
ESPN’s Dolphins reporter announced the incident via Twitter on Monday morning.
Howard needed the crutch due to his recent knee surgery. He played in only five games this season, collecting one interception. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2018, when he gathered seven interceptions.
There is no further information at this time on whether or not Howard will face significant jail time.
