The Detroit Lions and the New England Patriots have agreed to a trade that will swap late-round picks and send defensive back Duron Harmon to Detroit. Ian Rapoport was the first to break the news.
Harmon, 29, has spent the first seven years of his career with the Patriots. In 2019, Harmon had five passes defended and two interceptions. For his career, he has 28 passes defended and 17 interceptions.
In Detroit, Harmon will rejoin his former defensive coordinator Matt Patricia. Detroit has made a push for a lot of former Patriots, including Danny Shelton earlier on Wednesday.
This will help the Patriots manage their cap space better, as they are just over $3 million left to spend according to Over the Cap.
