Okudah, 22, was in his second season as a pro after being selected as the third overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He had four total tackles and one pass defended in the opener. Overall in his two seasons, Okudah has registered 44 total tackles, three passes defended and one interception in 10 games played.
Detroit may be in the market for a corner, as they are thin at the position. They have Amani Oruwariye on the outside and Nickell Robey-Coleman in the slot, who have good experience, but will now have rookie Ifeatu Melifonwu and AJ Parker getting more snaps on the outside.
