Free agent cornerback Desmond King will sign a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Houston Texans according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
King, 26, is a one-time All-Pro who was drafted by the Chargers in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent three and a half seasons with the Chargers before being traded to the Titans midway through last season.
In his career, King has 19 passes defended and four interceptions. He also two punt returns for touchdowns.
The Texans had a subpar secondary last season and the addition of King on a one-year deal should immediately give them a boost.
