Titans superstar running back Derrick Henry has agreed to a four-year deal just before the franchise tag deadline at 4:00 ET. He was previously franchise tagged by Tennessee in March 2020.
The first to report the contract extension was Fox’s Jay Glazer via Twitter on Wednesday.

Henry led the entire NFL in rushing attempts, rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in 2019. In three playoff games he added on 446 more yards and two touchdowns. All of his 2019 rushing numbers were career highs for the fourth-year running back.
His 2020 campaign will now be played under the safety blanket of a new deal, instead of the insecurity of the one-year franchise tag. There is currently no information on how much the deal will be worth. The Titans also signed Ryan Tannehill four-year, $118 million deal in the offseason.
