The Denver Broncos have agreed to a two-year, $6 million contract with free agent tight end Chris Manhertz according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Manhertz, 30, is an eight-year veteran who has spent time with the Saints, Panthers and Jaguars. He has 24 catches for 255 yards and two touchdowns in his career. Last season with the Jaguars, Manhertz hauled in six passes for 42 yards.
In Denver, Manhertz will rejoin Sean Payton, who he played for in New Orleans, and provide depth at the position.
