Backup quarterback Davis Mills has signed a one-year extension with the Houston Texans according to Adam Schefter. Mills will earn $5 million for each year through 2025.
Mills, 25, has passed for 5,955 yards, 35 touchdowns and 25 interceptions on 62.8 percent completion. He started 26 games over his first two seasons then backed up C.J. Stroud last season.
In 2024 and 2025 Mills will provide a capable backup for Stroud as the Texans try to make a push towards the Super Bowl.
