The Packers suffer another devastating loss as Davante Adams is placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Green Bay plays in Arizona on Thursday after only four days of rest. The NFL requires two negative tests within 24 hours to be reinstated. This means that if Adams’ test is a false positive, he would need to test negative on both Tuesday and Wednesday to play.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news on Monday.

Adams continues to be one of the most reliable receivers in the NFL and Aaron Rodgers’ favorite weapon. In just seven games this year, he has 744 yards on 52 receptions and three touchdowns. Against the Washington Football Team on Sunday, he moved into second all-time in Packers receiving touchdowns.
This loss continues a streak of horrible luck for Green Bay. Top cornerback Jaire Alexander may or may not return this season, All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari began the season on the PUP list and both Za’Darius and Preston Smith were both out due to injury on Sunday. Marquez Valdez-Scantling also sits on IR and cornerback Kevin King has also missed the last two games. The team also placed defensive coordinator Joe Barry on the reserve/COVID list this week.
Despite all of these injuries to key players, the Packers have found a way to escape the first seven weeks of the season with a 6-1 record. As stated earlier, Green Bay plays the only undefeated team left in the NFL (the Arizona Cardinals) on Thursday after a short week of rest.
