The Giants quarterback room just got a little more complicated after losing their $40 million per year man. Daniel Jones is now officially out for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season after suffering an ACL injury.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Jones was the sixth overall pick out of Duke University in the 2019 NFL Draft. After his first few middling seasons, he broke out in 2022-2023, winning his first playoff game and accounting for 22 touchdowns in the regular season.
After signing a four-year, $160 million deal, Jones has played in six games this season, going 1-5 in those starts. He has a completion percentage of 67.5 percent, and has thrown for two touchdowns and six interceptions.
