New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has been ruled out for Week 13. Jones has a neck strain and has not been cleared for contact. Giants head coach Joe Judge was the one to announce he will be inactive this week.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Friday.
Mike Glennon will likely take up quarterback duties in Jones’ absence. Since being drafted in 2013, Glennon has played for six different teams in the NFL, including the Giants. 2021 is his first year in New York, playing in one game, throwing for 196 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
The Giants sit in fourth place in the NFC East at 4-7. They are taking on the surging Miami Dolphins, who have won four games in a row, raising their record from 1-7 to 5-7.
