Free agent quarterback Daniel Jones has agreed to a one-year, $14 million deal with the Indianapolis Colts, according to Adam Schefter.
Jones, 27, played the first six seasons of his career with the Giants and Vikings. In his career, he has passed for 14.582 yards, 70 touchdowns and 47 interceptions on 64.1 percent completion. Last season, he played in 10 games, passing for 2,070 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions on 63.3 percent completion.
The Colts wanted a veteran quarterback to compete with Anthony Richardson for the starting job and now have that in Jones. Although he could’ve returned to Minnesota, Jones will now have the chance to start.
