Dan Snyder is considering selling the Washington Commanders after hiring Bank of America Securities. The team released a statement on Wednesday announcing the news.
Snyder purchased the franchise in 1999. He has drawn criticism for keeping the Washington Redskins name for too long before changing it, alleged sexual harassment and a hostile work environment (for which the NFL fined the team $10 million), targeting other NFL owners and having a stadium with several issues.
According to an ESPN report last month, Snyder claimed to have dirt on other NFL owners.
The Commanders were valued at $5.6 billion by Forbes.
