Free agent running back Dalvin Cook has agreed to a deal with the Dallas Cowboys according to Tom Pelissero. Cook will start the season on the practice squad.
Cook, 29, is a four-time Pro Bowler who has rushed for 6,207 yards in his career. Last season, he played for the Ravens and Jets. He totaled 214 rushing yards and 78 receiving yards with no touchdowns.
The Cowboys have a thin running back room, so Cook will at the very least provide depth. He joins Ezekiel Elliott, Rico Dowdle and Deuce Vaughn for the Cowboys at the position.
