The Cowboys have officially cleared Dak Prescott to play in the Dallas Cowboys’ Week 7 contest. After a five-week absence due to a hand injury, Prescott will return to the field after Cooper Rush went 4-1 in his spot starts.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Friday.
Prescott has played in just three quarters of one game in 2022. He left during the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a broken thumb. Dallas would go on to lose that game.
In his absence, backup quarterback Rush beat the Bengals, Giants, Commanders and Rams before falling to the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. In his three quarters of football, Prescott has 134 yards on 14 completions and zero touchdowns.
