Defensive tackle D.J. Jones has agreed to a one-year deal with the 49ers. Jones will be returning to San Francisco.
ESPN’s 49ers reporter, Nick Wagoner, tweeted out the news on Wednesday afternoon.
#49ers are bringing back DT D.J. Jones on a one-year deal, league source says. Jones started 25 games and had 5 sacks over the past two seasons. NFL Network on it first.

Jones was a sixth rounder, drafted in 2017 by the 49ers. He played and started in 14 games last season, collecting three sacks, which was a career high. His total tackles over the past two years, when he has gotten significant starting time, sit at 43.
