Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory has suffered a calf injury. The new injury could land him on injured reserve, necessitating at least three weeks off the field. Either way, Gregory is likely to miss multiple contests.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Thursday morning.
Gregory was drafted in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. Since arriving, he has started only five games. His entire 2017 was lost due to multiple drug test failures, including failure to take scheduled drug tests.
In 2021, he has started four games, playing in five total. He has seven combined tackles four sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. His four sacks in 2021 almost match his career-high in an entire season, which was six in 2018.
