
New York Jets wide receiver Corey Davis has announced that he is retiring from the NFL. He released a message on social media concerning his decision.
Davis, 28, is a six-year NFL veteran who has played for the Titans and Jets in his career. He has 273 catches for 3,879 yards and 17 touchdowns in his career. Last season he totaled 32 receptions for 536 yards and two touchdowns for the Jets.
The Jets will have $10 million in extra cap space with Davis retiring. They signed Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman to help the receiver room around Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson.
