Cordarrelle Patterson Designated to Return from IR

Publish Date: November 2, 2022

Atlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson can now return to the field after a knee injury. He was placed on injured reserve after Week 4, and, after a mandatory four-week absence from work, is now able to return to practice.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.

Patterson entered the league in 2013, making a mark as one of the league’s best return men during his four-year stint in Minnesota. He, then, bounced around to the Raiders, Patriots and Bears. He’s earned four Pro Bowl nods, four All-Pro team selections and a Super Bowl ring in his NFL tenure.

In 2022, his second season in Atlanta, he has 340 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Surprisingly, he only has 28 yards (no touchdowns) through the air. Receiving was a bigger part of his kit in his resurgent 2021 season.

Stay tuned for more breaking NFL content, including preseason moves, contract updates and more news from every team.
