The Washington Commanders are expected to sign wide receiver Stefon Diggs to a one-year deal worth up to $12 million, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
Diggs is coming off his first Super Bowl appearance with the New England Patriots, where he spent the 2025 season. After suffering a torn right ACL with the Houston Texans in 2024, Diggs bounced back strong in his lone season with the Patriots, hauling in 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns.
He was one of the focal points of the Patriots’ offense, and his chemistry with young quarterback Drake Maye was crucial to the team’s run to Super Bowl LX.
In his 11-year NFL career, Diggs has totaled 942 catches for 11,504 receiving yards and 74 touchdowns. Diggs has been in the NFL news recently for his off-the-field issues and personal life, but he proved last year with the Patriots that he still has plenty left in the tank and can help improve a young Commanders squad. Diggs figures to be an important weapon in the Commanders’ offense and one of the main targets for third-year quarterback Jayden Daniels.
