The Washington Commanders have agreed on a one-year, $6 million deal with free agent quarterback Marcus Mariota according to Adam Schefter. It could be worth up to $10 million with incentives.
Mariota, 30, is a nine-year NFL vet who has played for the Titans, Raiders, Falcons and Eagles in his career. He has passed for 15,820 yards, 93 touchdowns and 55 interceptions on 62.7 percent completion in his nine seasons.
In Washington, Mariota joins Sam Howell in the quarterback room. They will likely be joined by a young quarterback, as the Commanders have the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
