Colt McCoy to Join New York Giants

Redskins announce Colt McCoy as their Week 5 Starter

The New York Giants have agreed to a deal with quarterback Colt McCoy according to Mike Garafolo.

McCoy is a veteran who has played for the Browns, 49ers and Redskins in his nine-year career. He has mostly been a backup, but has started 28 games throughout his nine seasons. The Texas product has 6,080 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 27 interceptions on 60.7 percent completion.

He will likely resume his role as a backup with the Giants and he will be asked to mentor Daniel Jones.
