Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has ruled out three players for Thursday Night Football. Jadeveon Clowney, Chase Winovich and Jesse James are all out for Week 3’s game against the Steelers. They all have different injuries ruling them out of the game.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Clowney, who joined the Browns in 2021, is being ruled out with an ankle injury. He is likely the biggest out of the three reported losses. In two games so far this year he’s collected 1.5 sacks, five combined tackles, two pass deflections and a forced fumble.
Defensive end Winovich, who played in Week 2, only had one tackle and collected no other stats of note. James, a tight end, has played 18 total snaps on offense in 2022, but has not recorded a single target or a catch.
