The Cleveland Brown will go into their game with the Steelers crippled, after the quarterback, Baker Mayfield, was put on the injury list, along with five others.
The Browns face a tough opponent today, in the form of the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers. To make matters worse, starting quarterback, Baker Mayfield, suffered a chest injury, making his status for today’s game, questionable.
Mayfield suffered the chest injury in last week’s game against the Indianoplis Colts, but he did not miss any snaps afterward.
Since then, Mayfield has been making progress according to an official statement from the Cleveland Browns. On Wednesday and Thursday, he was a limited participant, and then a full participant on Friday.
“Like we’ve been saying all along, he’s improving every day,” head coach Kevin Stefanski said in a press conference.
However, quarterback performance is not the only thing the Browns have to worry about going into the Steelers game, today.
The Browns are coming in beat up against the Steelers, at least according to their injury reserves list,
Along with Mayfield, five other players on the Brown have been listed as questionable status. These include:
That’s not all, other players that have been ruled out of the Steeler game are guard Wyatt Teller (calf), safety Ronnie Harrison Jr. (concussion), safety Karl Joseph (hamstring) and linebacker Jacob Phillips (knee). Three of which are on the Browns defense. If the Steelers go off as they did during their game with the Eagles last week, offensively, the Browns are looking for an uphill battle at 1:00 pm eastern time.
The Browns play the Cincinnati Bengals next week October 25.
The Steelers face the Tenessee Titans the same day.
