The Cleveland Browns have agreed to re-sign defensive linemen Za’Darius Smith and Maurice Hurst. Dianna Russini reported the Smith news, while Adam Schefter reported the Hurst deal.
Smith, 31, is a three-time Pro Bowler who has spent time with Baltimore, Green Bay, Minnesota and Cleveland. He has 60 career sacks off the edge.
Hurst is an interior defensive lineman who has played for the Raiders, 49ers and Browns. He has 13 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks in his career.
Cleveland had a great defense last season and is retaining some of their cogs with these deals.
