The Bengals have started to upgrade their offensive line as they have reached an agreement with offensive guard Alex Cappa. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting it will be a four-year, $40 million deal.
Tom Brady’s loss will be Joe Burrow’s gain: Bucs’ free-agent guard Alex Cappa intends to sign a four-year, $40 million deal with the Bengals after free agency opens, per league sources.

Cappa, 27, was a third-round pick of the Buccaneers in the 2018 NFL Draft. He started 46 games over four seasons with the Buccaneers and helped them win a Super Bowl following the 2020 season.
After Joe Burrow was the most sacked quarterback in the regular season and playoffs, the Bengals seem committed to keeping him healthy. Cappa will fill in at guard for the Bengals and should provide an immediate upgrade.
With the signing of Cappa, the Bengals will hope to make another run at a Super Bowl.
