Cincinnati Bengals Agree to Deal With Chidobe Awuzie

After adding pass rusher Trey Hendrickson on the first day of the legal tampering period, the Bengals have continued to add to their defense. Cincinnati has agreed to a three-year deal with cornerback Chidobe Awuzie according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Awuzie, 25, was a second round pick by the Cowboys in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has four interceptions and 37 passes defended in his four pro seasons.

The Bengals had a need a corner with William Jackson and Mackensie Alexander being free agents. Awuzie will likely fill in across the field from Trae Waynes, who was signed prior to last season.
