The Chicago Bears have added two big names as the legal tampering window opens. Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds on a four-year, $72 million deal with $50 million guaranteed. Offensive guard Nate Davis was also signed on a three-year deal.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Edmunds was selected with the 16th overall selection of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. He was selected to two consecutive Pro Bowls in 2019 and 2020. The Bills exercised his fifth-year option in 2022, but he became a free agent ahead of 2023.
Davis has been a Tennessee Titan since being drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Charlotte. He’s played in 55 total games, starting in 54. He’ll now help anchor what was one of the worst offensive lines in the league last season.
