The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with free-agent cornerback Donte Jackson, according to Adam Schefter.
Jackson, 29, has played for the Panthers and Steelers in his seven-year career. In his career, he has 54 passes defended and 19 interceptions. Last season with the Steelers, he had five interceptions and eight passes defended.
The Chargers had a need at corner with Asante Samuel Jr. hitting free agency and Jackson gives them experience to work with.
