Seventh-year veteran cornerback, Bradley Roby has officially been traded from the Houston Texans to the New Orleans Saints. Roby will not be able to play in Week 1, due to a performance enhancing drug suspension.
The NFL’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Roby spent 2019 and 2020 in Houston, grabbing three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and defending 15 passes. He also had a combined 75 sacks during his time as a Texan, forced one fumble and recovered one as well.
Before his stint with Houston, the former first round selection was a Bronco, winning Super Bowl 50 over the Carolina Panthers. Roby has never been a Pro Bowl selection, but is a valuable defensive veteran for a Saints team that needed help on the back end of the defense.
