Los Angeles Rams running back
Cam Akers
is expected to miss the entire 2021 season with a torn Achilles according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Akers injured his Achilles during a workout on Monday. He was a rookie during the 2020 season and rushed for 625 yards. For the 2021 season, Akers to figured to take on more of the workload out of the backfield before getting injured.
With Akers out and Malcolm Brown now with the Miami Dolphins, Darrell Henderson is the frontrunner to get most of the carries out of the backfield for the Rams. Henderson had 138 carries for 624 yards in 2020. Outside of Henderson, the Rams don’t have much experience at the position.
