The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to sign free agent running back Kenneth Gainwell, according to Jordan Schultz. It is a two-year, $14 million deal.
Gainwell, 26, is a five-year NFL veteran who has played for the Steelers and Eagles. A one-time Super Bowl champ, Gainwell has 1,722 rushing yards, 1,207 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns. Last season with the Steelers, Gainwell racked up 537 rushing yards, 486 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
With the Buccaneers, Gainwell will provide a nice third-down back.
