Since their highly expensive quarterback, Deshaun Watson, is done for the remainder of the season, the Cleveland Browns are holding quarterback workouts to get more bodies in the room. One of the quarterbacks who worked out for them on Friday was former Super Bowl MVP, Joe Flacco.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Friday.
Flacco was the 18th overall selection of the first round in the 2008 NFL Draft, out of the University of Delaware. He played 11 seasons with the Browns’ AFC North rival, the Baltimore Ravens, winning the Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP with the team.
Since 2018, he’s bounced around to five different teams (including two stints with the Jets). The 38-year-old has passed for over 42,000 yards and a touchdown-to-interception total of 232-147 and a career passer rating of 84.0.
Stay tuned for more breaking NFL content, including offseason moves, contract updates and more news from every team.
