The Broncos and Steelers have engaged in a late-offseason trade. Broncos linebacker Malik Reed and a seventh round pick are being sent to the Steelers for a sixth round pick in 2023. This trade comes on the day that all teams must trim their roster to 53 players.
9News’ Mike Klis reported the details of the trade on Tuesday.
Reed went undrafted in 2019, but was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Broncos. He played there for three seasons before being traded on Tuesday. During his college career at Nevada, he was name to the Second Team All-Mountain West in 2016.
Since joining the NFL, Reed has failed to play in only three total games. Of his 45 games played, he has started in 34 of them. His career stats include four defended passes, three forced fumbles, 15 sacks and 123 combined tackles.
