The Washington Commanders have traded running back Brian Robinson to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2026 sixth-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Robinson, 26, was rumored to be on the market this week and the Commanders made a move. He has 2,329 rushing yards, 587 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns in his career. Last season, he totaled 799 rushing yards, 159 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
San Francisco gets running back depth behind Christian McCaffrey, as he was banged up last season. Washington will turn to Austin Ekeler, Chris Rodriguez and seventh-round rookie Bill Croskey-Merritt in the backfield.
