The Minnesota Vikings have signed offensive tackle Brian O’Neill to an extension. O’Neill’s new contract is worth $92.5 million over five years, making him the second highest-paid right tackle in the entire NFL. The Saints’ Ryan Ramczyk ranks first in that category.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wilmington, Delaware native O’Neill was selected near the end of the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Since joining the Vikings, he has played in 46 of 48 possible games, starting in all but four of those contests.
He is mainly used as an offensive right tackle, but has played sparingly on special teams, also. O’Neill has taken 14, 16 and 15 percent of special teams snaps in his three seasons, respectively. He now owns the second-richest right tackle contract in the league and the Vikings can utilize his services for five more seasons.
