Jets rookie running back Breece Hall has suffered a severe leg injury. According to reports, Hall has torn his ACL and also has a minor meniscus injury. This will end his rookie season early, putting a stop to any Rookie of the Year contention.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Hall was chosen in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, after an all-time great first round draft, according to pundits. He was taken out of Iowa State and played in Week 1, splitting carries with Michael Carter.
So far in his NFL career, Hall has 391 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground. That’s good for 5.1 yards per carry. He’s been fairly active in the passing game as well, adding 218 more yards and another score. This will likely be the end of his rookie year.
