The Buffalo Bills have officially ruled out two key defensive starters for Week 10’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. Safety Jordan Poyer and defensive end Gregory Rousseau are both out with injuries. The team is also unsure whether quarterback Josh Allen will play on Sunday.
NFL insider Dov Kleiman reported the news via Twitter on Friday.
Poyer has been a Bill since Allen’s rookie season in 2017. He was previously on a four-year, $13 million deal that turned into a two-year extension back in 2020. During five games played this year, Poyer has four interceptions and 21 combined tackles.
2022 is Rousseau’s sophomore season, and this week marks the very first game for which he will be unavailable. This year, he’s deflected two passes and racked up an impressive five sacks while adding 21 combined tackles.
