Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre White has officially been placed on IR. He suffered an ACL injury that will end his season. The Bills were hopeful at first he would avoid the IR all together, but an ACL tear confirms they will be without maybe their best defensive player for the playoffs.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.

White has played in 11 games in 2021, collecting one interception and racking up six passes defended. He also forced and recovered one fumble, but has no touchdowns on the year. The two-time Pro Bowler and 2019 First Team All-Pro corner was already having a down year in almost every category, but now those numbers are solidified as his worst as a pro.
The Bills currently sit at 7-4, which is 0.5 games behind the AFC East-leading Patriots, whom they have not played. New England and Buffalo will play twice in four weeks to end the season, which will likely decide the division.
