The NFL season is approaching. Before the season starts gamblers need to get their bets in for the year. Here are futures bets to place before the 2025 NFL season.
Those who play fantasy football know McBride had trouble reaching the end zone. He had just two touchdown catches last season and three the year before. Despite the lack of touchdown luck, McBride is a heavily targeted and productive tight end. Last season was his first with more than 1,000 receiving yards, as he finished the season with 111 catches for 1,146 yards.
Marvin Harrison Jr. provided another touchdown threat last season, as he had eight as a rookie. No one else on the team had more than four. With Harrison Jr. getting more attention in the red zone this season, McBride should be an easy target for Kyler Murray. The offense ranked 12th in the league in scoring last season and there should be some improvement, which will give McBride more opportunities for touchdowns.
Last season, Baltimore won 12 games. a mark they also hit the year before when they tallied 13 wins. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry create a great duo in the backfield for the offense and DeAndre Hopkins joins the fold as a receiver. The only starter lost was on the offensive line and the Ravens will still have talent to work with. Defensively, the Ravens can be improved after they acquired players in the secondary in veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander and rookie safety Malaki Starks.
The Ravens will have a tough schedule, which includes a physical AFC North. That is something they are used to though, as they defeated seven playoff teams last season. Baltimore has the rushing attack, passing attack and defense to be one of the top seeds in the AFC again, as the current Super Bowl favorites.
In 2024, Burrow passed for 43 touchdowns. It was the most he has thrown for in his career, but he has hit over 33.5 passing touchdowns in every season he has played at least 16 games. The Bengals have kept all of their offensive weapons in Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Mike Gesicki and running back Chase Brown. Burrow will utilize those weapons and be able to hit the over.
The Bengals will hope the defense can improve from last season after changing coordinators and drafting on that side of the ball. Even if they do improve, the Bengals’ defense likely will give up a lot of points, which will put the pressure on the offense to score. Burrow, if healthy, can pass for at least 34 touchdowns.
Kupp has battled injuries over the last few seasons and last played a full season in 2021. Last season with the Rams, he had 67 catches for 710 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games. It was the fourth straight season that Kupp saw a drop in receiving yards. This offseason, he joined the Seattle Seahawks, so things will be a lot different.
Seattle will have a new quarterback in Sam Darnold, but also will be without wide receiver DK Metcalf. That could open up more opportunities for Kupp, but both he and Jaxon Smith-Njigba specialize in playing in the slot. Even if he stays healthy, the design of the offense and the fit on the roster may lead him to less production. His injury history added to that and the under is the safe bet for Kupp this season.
