Trey Hendrickson and the Cincinnati Bengals have reportedly agreed to a new contract extension. The extension between the two sides is for one year, which will lock him in as a Bengal through the 2025 playing season.
The Bengals’ official Twitter account released the news on Thursday.
Hendrickson has made his both of his two Pro Bowls as a Bengal, in 2021 and 2022. He played for the New Orleans Saints for the first four seasons of his career (2017-2020) before signing a four-year, $60 million contract with Cincinnati. He has since become one of the pillars of their defense.
In 15 games last season, Hendrickson defended three passes, forced three fumbles, racked up 32 combined tackles and grabbed eight sacks. His sacks and tackles took a bit of a dive from last season when he had 34 and 14, respectively.
