The Cincinnati Bengals have reached a three-year, $40.25 million deal with free agent safety Bryan Cook, according to Ian Rapoport.
Cook, 26, spent the first four seasons of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he won two Super Bowls. The Cincinnati native has 238 total tackles, 15 passes defended and three interceptions in his career.
The Bengals had one of the worst defenses in the league last season, allowing 28.9 points per game. Adding Cook to the secondary will shore up the backend for the Bengals.
