
Free agent running back Austin Ekeler has reached a two-year deal worth up to $11.43 million according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Ekeler, 28, spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Chargers. Over his career, he has 4,355 rushing yards, 3,884 receiving yards and 69 touchdowns. Last season for the Chargers, he racked up 628 rushing yards, 436 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
Washington let Antonio Gibson walk in free agency, so Ekeler will pair with Brian Robinson in the Commanders’ backfield under new head coach Dan Quinn.
