Freeman, 28, has spent his entire six-year career with the Falcons. He had 656 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns last season in 14 games. For his career, he has 3,972 rushing yards and 2,015 receiving yards which helped him get 43 touchdowns.
The Falcons are cutting Freeman after a relatively unproductive season. This will help them stay under the cap, as they were projected to be near or over the cap number according to Over the Cap.
