Burns, 25, is a former first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has four interceptions and 27 passes defended in his career.
Although the Bears had him on the roster last season, they did not have him suit up for a game. Burns is likely to remain a depth piece for the team.
