Josh Shaw, a defensive back for the Arizona Cardinals, will be suspended through at least the 2020 season for gambling on NFL games on numerous occasions. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero released the NFL’s statement on Twitter.
No evidence was found that Shaw used insider information to bet on games.
Shaw can file for reinstatement after February 15, 2021, but can appeal his suspension in the next three days.
He is currently on the injured reserve for the Cardinals. Shaw has 108 total tackles, seven passes defended and one interception in his career. The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Shaw and he spent time with Kansas City and Tampa Bay last season.
