The 2020-2021 Super Bowl has a chance to go down in history as one of the greatest ever. That is because the new guard, Patrick Mahomes will face off against Tom Brady. Luckily for them, the Buccaneers give up plenty of passing yards. That means that this game will likely be a shootout. Weirdly for a team lead by Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, that is exactly what they want. When trying to beat the best gunslinging quarterback in football, it is not something that many people have found success doing. The Chiefs will need to win this game off of Mahomes playmaking ability out of the pocket and they will need to hope that he can stay healthy as he has had some nagging injuries.
No man has won more champions than Tom Brady. There is a reason for that. He is extremely good not just in normal situations but also under pressure. When down 28-3 against the Falcons in the Super Bowl, Brady lead the comeback. When his team needed to get into field goal range to win his first Super Bowl all those years ago, he did that too. He has single-handily ended dynasties and he will be looking to do so again on Sunday.
For the Bucs to win they need Brady to be using his weapons effectively and they will probably have to bring out some unexpected plays. As was stated above, getting into a shootout with Kansas City is generally not advised. Yet, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers might be well equipped to do that. They have the weapons and if they need to slow the game down they can actually run the ball, unlike Kansas City. Their goal needs to make sure that Tom Brady gets a chance to do one of his classic game-winning drives. If he has the ball in his hands, a couple of timeouts left and is within seven points then Tampa Bay should like their chances at winning.
The NFL should be looking to have outstanding ratings for this game. It seriously is one that could absolutely go down to the wire and has two very different styles of play that are fun to watch. Brady and Mahomes is one that people have been hoping for since the beginning of the year and it seems as though they will be getting their wish.
When it comes to a prediction, Tom Brady wins yet again. The Chiefs are pretty banged up and their defense is not good enough to shut down the Bucs very strong offense. Look for Tampa Bay to run the ball effectively and make sure that Mahomes has as few chances to touch the ball as possible. Afterall if he is not on the field then he can’t win the game.
